I'm Kaushani.

I began as a visual artist and educator, interpreting my inner world. Over time, I felt the need to turn that lens outward. Design became a way to focus on users, business needs, and the systems shaping how people experience technology.

My work sits at the intersection of research, strategy, and product thinking. I'm drawn to products with real complexity, where understanding the user deeply changes what gets built entirely.

I'm currently a Product Designer at Positive Technology Labs, where I'm designing a quantum computing learning platform for beginners.

I enjoy tackling tough problems with collaborators who bring completely different skills and perspectives to the table.

What's on my mind

We're at an interesting moment in design. As AI agents take on more of the execution, the question shifts from how to build to what is worth building and for whom.

Digital products still live in the physical world. They get used mid-frustration, mid-interruption, and in moments the design never anticipated. I design for that context.

Outside work

When away from the screen, I go for long walks and try to make space for boredom. It's how I let my mind wander.

Astrology fascinates me. I get incredibly excited by the fact that for thousands of years people have looked to the stars to map personality and human behavior. It feels like a mythological relic of early humans attempting to build predictive models of themselves. Math and prophecies!
